Ahhhh, Vacation.

I’ve decided to take the week off from work. It’s been a while since I had some time off, and I was getting a little burned out, so a little R&R seemed like a good idea. I wish I could say I was typing this on some exotic beach somewhere, but the truth is, I decided to take my vacation at home. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to get my life in order. This will be a week of house cleaning, organizing, exercise and, yes, blogging. Some time a real vacation is getting to do all the things work is keeping you from doing, even the mundane.

One of the things I want to work on this week is my self improvement book store, BooksOfPower.com. There is much to be done, but I think the payoff could be tremendous. Once the site is finished, or close to it, I can begin the marketing. Sadly, I don’t think the initial profits will be enough to sustain a PPC campaign, so I may have to wait for the organic traffic to get moving.

One thing I’ve definitely learned in my pursuit of getting rich is that it rarely happens overnight. I’ve managed to turn some great initial profits, don’t get me wrong, but I have a ways to go before I can quit my day job. However, the seeds I’m planting today will soon grow into nearly effortless streams of income. Being rich isn’t as much about how much money you have as how hard you work to get it. I’d rather make $100k per year doing nothing, than breaking my back to be a millionaire. We all know that “time is money”, but free time is even more valuable.
