The Adwords Letter

Nov 5th, 2006 by Chris | 0

I spend some time almost every day on an online marketing message board called the Warrior Forum. It’s an interesting resource for all sorts of information on Internet Marketing; some good some not. It’s a wealth of information for the beginner and a place for the more experienced to offer advice and answer questions.

Such was the case a while back when someone needed a hand starting their first Google Adwords campaign. This gentleman had purchased and read several of the most popular Adwords ebooks available. He had a good understanding of how the system worked, but wasn’t sure how to actually get started. It seems the experts left that part out! So he turned to the forum to answer the question, “How do I get started?” It seems basic enough, but a lot of guides leave out a starting strategy. Most simply tell you to get started and test, test, test. Then just do what works best for you. That’s a pretty risky approach, in my opinion.

I responded to the man’s post with a few quick tips, but told him he could email me whenever he needed some help. He promptly took me up on my offer and asked for some more help in getting started. I sat down and typed up a quick, one-page email with a summary of how I set up campaigns to minimize risk and build profit.

He loved it.

Combined with the valuable information in the ebooks he had purchased, my email put him at ease and gave him the confidence to strike out on his own with his very first Adwords campaign. It always feels good to answer some questions on the forum, but it felt great to actually help someone get started.

I saved the email and have decided to share it with anyone who’s interested, for only $10. If you’re new to Google Adwords, done your research, but still aren’t sure how to start your own first campaign, it’ll be a big help.
