Avoid Burnout!!!
In the interest of my own sanity, I’m taking a few days off. It’s been over a year since I’ve taken any vacation time, and both my business and relationships are starting to suffer. I’m taking a four day weekend to sit in the sun, read, work on the house and generally avoid anything to do with a computer that isn’t my PS3.
It’s important to stop and take a break now and then. Remember what you’re working so hard for. It’s not the money, it’s what that money will help you enjoy! Go out and spend time with your friends, family and loved ones! Get out in the sun! Read a book!
When you get too immersed in your business, objectives start to blur and lose meaning. You become less organized and less motivated. Frustration comes quickly, and you end up taking it out on those that don’t deserve it.
Grab a notebook and start writing down all the things you’re working on, what you have left to do, and any ideas that pop up. Then put the notebook down, and walk away. It’ll all be there when you get back from vacation!
