I consider myself to be a fairly well spoken guy. As someone who reads my blog, I hope you not only enjoy the things I have to say, but the way I say them as well. I’m not a stickler for grammar or vocab, but I try to keep things sounding at least somewhat intelligent.
This morning I saw a post from my friend Miss604, about Wordle. Wordle will analyze your blog feed and create a word cloud of its content.
Sounds cool right?
Imagine my dismay at seeing that one of the most common words used here is “like”.
I’m praying it’s the affectionate form, and not the mindless filler form…

So far, I like what I am reading. I am wondering how we are related. Send me an email.
I have been in the internet marketing arena for about 2.5 years and was only successful in 2007. Probably due to the fact that I was working 60 hours a week as a production manager during the last 6 years and never gave it my all.
Anyway, I am now going full board and I am trying to decide which platform I am going to venture upon.
I am going to focus on adsense through websites with wordpress themes, but I am hesitant about the approach. I want to have a base site and use add-on’s for each adsense site. I have raief.com and I am thinking of raief.com/greentea/, raief.com/marriagecures/, raief.com/doglovers/, etc. . ., as examples.
This is my dilemma. I do not want to bear the expense of a new and different domain name for each 4 page adsense site, but I still want to have a good SEO ranking. Am I wrong?
Anyway, give me a shout and let me know how we are related.

Hi Greg,
My parents are from the Baltimore, MD area. My aunt has traced a ton of our family tree, which interestingly has deep roots in the Boston, MA area where I currently live.
Where is your family from?
As for your sites, shell out the $10 for separate domains. The SEO advantage of having separate domains outweighs the savings of hosting everything under a single domain.

Hi Chris,
I am sorry that it has taken so long to post. Does anyone else ever post here? I must be missing some of the pages.
How have you been? Has the economic turndown affected your life very much?
How is your business doing?
My Family is from England and Norway originally but immigrated to Pennsylvania in the 17th century. Since then our relatives in the states have spread out all over. Many of our relatives still live in the East and many live in California, Washington and Oregon now.
I was born in Japan and I am still a citizen there. I do not really call anywhere my home. I lived out in the West, California, Washington, Arizona, and Colorado, most of the time. I also lived in some of the Eastern states for several years. I just came back from Russia. My wife and I have an apartment in St Petersburg.
Thanks for the advice on the domains. I have heard both sides of this. I have seen a few blog sites that are doing well that have sub domains, each with a different focus. I guess a new domain or add on domain would probably rank better with the SEO,s, but having it hosted separately would even be better. The costs would be a lot more though, if you had 40-100 domains, for hosting.
I need to decide right away and get this going. I have had my sites up and down for months now and need to really get serious about them.
Good luck with your ventures.
Thanks again,
Greg
